Video Stencils

Video Stencils contain three single-channel videos in which ordinary ingredients from the kitchen such as flour, sprinkles and spices become art materials. The videos confound the female domain of the kitchen with the artist’s domain. Feminine labor associated with cooking and baking is replaced by the artist’s labor, resulting in a perplexing image and a subversive use of everyday items.
